May 13, 2016 - Strategic Metals Ltd. (TSX-V: SMD) ("Strategic") announces a $600,000 private placement, to consist of the sale of 1,000,000 flow-through common shares at a price of $0.60 per share. The proceeds from this private placement, which is subject to regulatory acceptance, will be used to finance a portion of Strategic's 2016 exploration plans for certain of its precious metals projects in the Yukon Territory, as announced on May 10, 2016. Closing of the private placement is expected to occur on or about May 17, 2016.
