Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) Prospects

Strategic owns VMS prospects in three main areas, all of which are underlain by favorable units of the Yukon-Tanana Terrane. The largest cluster of prospects is located on the northeast side of the Tintina Fault in the Finlayson VMS District which hosts five known deposits (Wolverine, Kudz Ze Kayah, GP4F, Fyre Lake and Ice). These deposits contain a diverse suite of metals and include a variety of deposition environments. Wolverine, Kudz Ze Kayah, and GP4F are Kuroko-type, Ice is a Cyprus-type, and Fyre Lake is interpreted to be Besshi-type. [click link to gov't website describing types] The second cluster of claims is on the southwest side of the Tintina Fault in the Dawson area of west-central Yukon. At the time when the deposits were formed (prior to movement on the fault) this cluster was situated adjacent to the Finlayson VMS District. The third cluster is in a newly discovered VMS camp located near the BC-Yukon border.

The Finlayson District is accessed by the Robert Campbell Highway, which will be the main haulage road for the Wolverine deposit. Yukon Zinc has announced that the Wolverine mine is expected to reach commercial production by mid 2010. Strategic holds a net smelter royalty interest in part of the Wolverine deposit.

Strategic's prospects in the Dawson area are accessible via a haulage road which accessed the former Cassiar asbestos mine. The prospects along the BC-Yukon border are located near the Alaska Highway.

The Rebel property is unusual. It is hosted in volcanic rocks of Selwyn Basin, about 15 km northwest of large lead-zinc deposits that were formerly mined near Faro.

Strategic plans to perform diamond drilling on four of its prospects in the Finlayson VMS District in 2010.
